Tech Enthusiast & Open-Source Explorer

I’m an IT professional with nearly two decades of experience, currently focused on Observability.
Over the last couple of years, I’ve dived into supporting enterprise clients in monitoring and optimizing their systems, using tools like Grafana, Mimir, Loki, Tempo, and Prometheus. My day-to-day work keeps me immersed in the Observability field, where I leverage a broad range of technologies to ensure seamless performance across complex infrastructures.
Before this, I spent five years as a Linux Escalation Engineer on Azure, honing my skills in troubleshooting and optimizing Linux environments on a large scale. Prior to that, I was a Technical Team Lead at IBM for four years, leading support for high-profile projects and managing diverse technical challenges.
Outside of work, I enjoy open-source software and like to experiment with PHP, HTML, CSS, and MySQL to build simple, functional websites. I also write CLI scripts in PHP or bash for fun, constantly pushing my Linux setup to see what more it can do.
With fluency in Romanian, Italian, and English, plus conversational skills in French and German, I’m always excited to collaborate on innovative projects and tackle new challenges on Observability, or anything open-source!
“The technology you use impresses no one. The experience you create with it is everything“ (Sean Gerety)
Starting with simple scripts and websites, I learned that the most elegant solution is often the one that remains invisible, quietly solving problems and enhancing experiences without unnecessary complexity. It’s the reason I gravitate toward open-source and functional tools, where the focus isn’t just on what I can build, but on the experience it creates for others. Every command, dashboard, and system I’ve touched has been a chance to leave a footprint that makes technology feel a little more human.
Working with Grafana, Azure, and a variety of other technologies, I’m not just aiming to solve issues; I’m ensuring that users feel confident, informed, and empowered by their infrastructure. I’ve come to see my role as more than troubleshooting—it’s about building a solid foundation where technology quietly supports innovation without disruption, letting teams focus on what truly matters.
It’s an ongoing journey, but I’m driven by the idea that my work can ease someone else’s, that behind every line of code or configuration, I’m building something that simplifies, clarifies, and brings a little more harmony to the complex world of IT.
